Hiya,

I am freaking loving this shard! It has everything!

A few questions though, I'm a noob doing the New Haven quests. I'm stuck on a few...

1. Clarissa the Servant - How do I give her the dress? For some reason the quests window shows that I have 0 fancy dresses when I've made 3! I don't understand...

2. Some Collector Guy at the Pub - It's some sort of quest chain, I need to kill a speckled scorpion for it's sacs... So... Am I missing something, cos I tried to find one and apparantly the scorps are found in some desert in a place called Illshenar; I gated there and was chased by two drake paragons!! This isn't a noob quest is it? I didn't even make it to the scorps! :P Will the quest go out of date? Or shall I just save it for later?

3. Where do I get a Ninjitsu book? The NPC won't sell anything, so I went to Tokuno to loot a ninja and... I don't think I was supposed to be there; some guys in a hut took like half my HP with one hit lol There was a vendor opposite the bank selling one for like 2,000... Is that what I gotta do?

Also, I used to be able to rename my little bags, I don't seem to be able to any more...

Finally, I can't edit pages on the wiki, how do I sign up?

Oh, I nearly forgot, does bonding really cost 50,000??

 The answers:

   1) For some collection quests, a players has [to single right click themselves > [select toggle quest item] > and then [select the item to be marked as a quest item]. (success changes the items color to orange)

   2) No and yes. Since you are not familiar with Ilshenar I would say no. However, killing the scorpians is really easily done, so that would be a yes.   8) (Never give up on quests, they are so much fun)

   3) Ninjitsu books are found, as loot, on dead ninjas. The same is true about Bushido books, which are found as loot on dead Ronin.

(If you PM me in game I can help get you a book for free, I do not recommend buying these books from a player vendor; since its overly priced by default)

   4) Bags can be renamed by creating leather engraving tools-- found on the tailoring gump [under miscellaneous] on the second page

   5) Wiki pages can be edited by trusted forum members. If you have something to add by do not have the permissions {from Dante} simply Pm or ask Dante in game for his email address. You can then send him your ideas or rewritten word docs for him to add to certain sections of the Wiki.  8)

   6) One bonding deed is usually given for free upon player creation. However, a player can purchase more deeds in a few ways. there is an animal trainer in Trammel Britain-- south of the bank. In his shop there are vendors stone which sell them for 50,000 tokens, or 5 ED's each.

I, also, believe you can stable your pet for a week and have it bond that way. However, I am unsure if this is working since I have never managed this process, even though I have left pets in the stable for several months. (I must be doing something wrong)  :o

Hope that helps. Keep the questions coming.

Feed your pet before you stable it. Then feed it again after the bonding time is over. That is the free way to do it.

Thanks so much for your patience with a noob. :)

I fed my horse apples, but it didn't say that your pet would be bonded in 7 days like it does on the UOF shard. I just pressumed that the only way was a bonding deed. I'll try feeding + stabling my horse and see what happens.

With the scorps, I'm GM hiding and 60 stealth so I think I should be able to creep through to the scorps. I just hope no one reveals me... :o I really need to get better at magic.

Whilst I appreciate the offer of a free book, I kinda wanna build myself up.

It was just small things about the wiki, like the directions to the pet trainer said "in the town centre" or something like that.

Ok, so I found a Ninjitsu book outside of the bank. I kinda feel like I cheated. I might just drop it outside the bank again.

Although I would love to know where I can find scrolls for more spells? I have the 1st and 2nd circle complete, but I don't even have lightning and I wanna train my magery up. I know someone's gonna offer me a complete spell book, but honestly I just wanna know where I can find/make the scrolls myself?

Train your inscription to make all the magery and necro spells. Otherwise, they can be found on some mobs of the undead champ, and every mage creature in the world, skele mage, rune beetles, red mages, balrons, sorcerers dongeon is a good place to farm them.

Nice one man, will do. :)

...Just bought a scribes pen, and it says that cos I don't have the spell in my book I can't make the scroll which I guess makes sense... Gonna hunt some mobs...

The Orc Cave has Orc mages, and Destard is full of drakes, and wyvern, which have scrolls on them; also.
