Hi everyone,
i would have few questions that probably only Kane or other gms who do the scripting can answer. But feelings and exprience from other players will be very helpfull as well.
1, Treasure chests in Fel dungeons. Lets make it short, here is the data... I opened like 50 chests in a month, 20 of them had reward (Cloth deed, wep level deed, pet PS, artifact... whatever valuable - i don't count pet potions or restorative goo as a valuable, this is like a trash) But since last patch (could be 2nd last patch, can't confirm this) but somewhen around last 14 days something changed. I opened another 50 chests since that time and found completly nothing. 50/50 full of trash. Did this with same amount of luck on myself, cause im wearing still the same clothes. ... I know everything in Ultima is about "chance to drop" so it is hard to actually see the difference if something changes (people might say i was extremly lucky before and i am extremly unlucky now)... But according to statistics, having so many of the chests empty now is very unlikely... My question is. Has anything changed with loot or luck formula or anything that could affect this? How about other players who did open Treasure chests in the past and in last 7-14 days... do you see any difference?
2, Treasure maps. Particularly lvl 5 maps from poison elementals at Venom champion spawn. I used to find like 5-10 EVERY TIME soloing this champ. Again, after last (or 2nd last) patch, i soloed this champ 2 times. I found like 5-10 tmaps from 3rd wave with terathans (which is same as before) but both times i soloed it after patch, i found 0 of lvl 5 tmaps from Poison Elementals. wearing same amount of luck as before. Again... The difference is so big, that statistically this should not happen unless something changed in the formula of drop chance for tmaps. Nothing has been mentioned in patch notes, but i know UO is tricky.. You change something, but something else will change as well without you knowing it... So it might be an unwanted error. Any player experience about this? Can someone confirm?
There might be more drop chance changes... these 2 are the ones i noticed and i call it a huge difference. This isn't just good/bad luck.
3, This is more of a funny question. Every single patch will change type of boots that you get from gold panning. Boots -> shoes -> tight boots -> fur boots ... etc. Every single patch will change it, but its still a footwear. It takes me like 5 minutes to change the item type in my macros, but i still wonder why is this happening.. Is that on purpose?
Any answer from Gm about possible changes in this or any answer from players and their experience/feeling about this is very appreciated.
