I am wondering If it is accepted here to have moded clients to improve game play? I only do this to reduce lag. Just simple things like removing spell animations ect. This is not to increase my skill in anyway because it does not. It's simply because i have a slow machine?

I ask this before I do it because I know some servers frown upon this. I will not be removing any of the servers custom mobiles.  Because I really enjoy these.

Yes this is all possible requires a lot of work but possible. Ill do some modifications to my client and send who ever wants the modded files them. I already have a 100% client but its for basic up art work.

You should be fine, our anti cheat system is pretty good about catching non-accepted mods to clients.

I do not modify anything that would change game play any I just modify how things appear to me.

Currently I have all spell field animations removed to look static. Spell powers show as spell name when castes. Trees are stumps. Can view all hidden clothing on other players paper doll. Many more little things but all similar, have not done any animation stuff yet

Can you share it when you are done. This will be perfect for me (I love classic clients)

The one thing I would love to see from the enhanced client brought over would be the grid style inventory.  In the classic backpacks my inventory is generally a mess.  I guess some day I should learn how to mod the client myself.

I have found that running the client "assistuo" in compatibility mode for windows XP SP 2 has had a 50/50 fix ratio for most players who are experiencing these issues. :) might be worth giving it a try?

I saw this post on RunUO community. Try using Razor.
I hope it will work..

"I don't know why but people that have trouble with AssistUO don't have any problem loading the same files with Razor..."
