Topic :   Looking for some combat tips.

So I have been playing here a for about 3 weeks now. I know I still have alot to learn here.
So far I have 120 in most of my skills. 120 in all of my combat and magic skills for sure. I have my stats capped. Seems that heath is capped at 300? I have 70 in all resists. And most of my stats in [mystats are capped as well. The only one im lacking in is LMC.

Now my problem is alot of custom mobs one shotting me. Try to use a my evo dragon and Elf and I cant heal them fast enough. I am mostly a solo player since I havent really met anyone in game that would like to hunt with me and im in the NEW guild but I dont want to ask new players to help me kill something that is one shotting me, how would they survive? lol.

Anyway are there any other solo players that can help me out here with some advice on staying alive when it comes to these powerful mobs?

The only way to kill a lot of the good monsters is to have 240 parrying. There's a sloping scale to the benefits with parry, but I've heard that at 240 you are at the peak. Buy sockets and parry augments from the display room stones. I think parry augments are glimering onyx (dark blue stone). You'll want to 1h a composite bow with hit lower defense and hit spells on it and use a mirror shield with shield of spikes. Shield of spikes reflects back a lot of damage. Kas armor is the way to go if you're a warrior, and the mage armor if you're a caster.

There are several ways that you can obtain socket scrolls without having to donate:

1. Use trade chat [tr to find players selling them
2. Search the many player vendors on the shard to find one selling them
3. Do Tmaps as the chest you dig up will have a chance to contain one or more
4. Search for treasure chests in Felucca dungeons
5. Find and successfully solve puzzle chests

Hope this helps you...

I think I read somewhere lastnight you can get them from tinker bods.

I was told there is a small chance from large tinker bods, but those are seriously annoying to get ahold of in the numbers necessary to complete, unless your running 2 accounts with all slots filled for alts.
It would be better to find some people and start running around with them.

Feel free to jump on the TeamSpeak server too, a lot of people there are constantly running champs.

I've recently gotten into fishing and have been doing SoS and a lot of nets that bring mobs with a chance of dropping more nets and more SoS bottles.  No telling what comes out of a sunken chest after all.  I really need to make some loot macros tomorrow just for gold and gems from them.  You get a LOT out of some of them.

For the OP, which mobs are you having trouble with?  They may be mobs that are not meant to be soloed, even with pets.  Also talk to a reliable animal breeder or a bio engineer.  They may be able to help you either get better pets or have better pets that you could buy.

Some pets are great for damage, while others are great for tanking.  Some pets also heal a lot, while other are simply attack type.

I hope this helps and this isn't the best tip in the world, but it may assist you in fighting something that will one-shot you.  The bushido skill evade if properly timed  Will allow you to evade even a 2000 HP fire breath attack.  Don't rely on this. I think I have 120 bushido and it only works maybe 20% of the time for me.  I primarily use it to fight the dragons that shoot fire breath that takes about 150 HP shots To not bring me to 5% health.  The other tip in fighting something that is going to one shot you is to use mirror image.  I have 8 pet slots, so if I'm running seven mirror images and myself. It highly reduces the chances of it hitting me, but even if a mirror image gets hit with a week fireball it will still destroy it. It's a fast cast, so throw some more out and you're back to for me, about a 15% chance of being hit.  Also because I have eight slots, I can run to CuShide pets.  They're not very powerful, maybe level 32, but both have 2000 points in both will heal me.

If you use UOsteam just make an organizer for your chests. Then you pull up a chest, set your containers to the chest and your loot bag. easiest and most reliable way I know of so far. Better than messing around with loot script for that purpase.

Rend currently. And he is buffed on this shard. I have maxed resists and everything else mostly maxed. And he still one shots me or nearly one shots with 300hp(capped) I got on other shards I have accounts on and can run right up to him and kill him with ease. And theres at least 3 rends in labrynth here. Oh and they cast skeletal dragons here.
