First of all, let me thank the staff for doing this every so often. It is really a great way to get some items you haven't gotten or might not even know you need. While you certainly could simply delete all of this stuff, I appreciate (and I am sure many others do too) that you hold this fun, frustrating, crazy event.

For those that sit and complain about the "unfairness" of the IDOCS or how some people "know" where they will drop, let me assure you - first hand - that drops are the luck of the draw. When they first announced IDOCS on October 16th, I began to plan and work at building up a rune library of places that I either thought might drop (based on whether I had seen that person in some time) or I just REALLY liked the loot inside and it was purely wishful thinking! This is not a 100% method, hell it is likely not even a 10% method, but I spend the days upon days scouting out the lands, marking runes, labeling my UO Cartographer...all in the hopes for some nice stuff.  *Of note - the last IDOC event, I was still a relative newb and I did well enough trying to figure it out!

Do some folks run in packs? Yes, we do and many do. Why? Because it is a more efficient method of checking very quickly (shh, I am giving away the deep dark secrets of the EVO Idocs...or not). Our specific group plotted out our strategy when we found out IDOCs were coming, who we wanted and how the division of loot went. Group hunting is not for everyone, but for some it works well.  Oh..and scavenger, EVERYONE who uses UOSteam and Razor has a scavenger in it, it is up to you to set it up and really you can't complain about others using something that is part of the program...when you have the very same program at your disposal.

Having a better chance is all about planning and taking the time to go out and scout the lands (drop houses are an awesome idea for groups). Dante has said many times over the past month to get out there and scout..if you didn't, you only have yourself to blame really. And no, I am not trying to be a bitch, just stating the facts.

For those who had the snarky comments about our group being alone in our channel...I am MORE than sure that you do NOT want to listen to us screaming "DROP DROP - OPENING GATE" and "WHERE ARE YOU" over and over...We go into private to save your ears and sanity...you are welcome.) It isn't you, really..it is us!

In closing...this is a game, it is pixels. Yes, there is the thrill of the hunt and finding that awesome shiny in a pile of crap; but it is ultimately a game. This is FREE stuff, stuff that staff could have just as easily deleted. Complaining about what you didn't get..is taking time from you running the lands and finding the next hidden gem first.

So lighten up, enjoy the IDOCS. I hope you all get some tiny bit of goodness out of it!

  Well spoken!

I remember the good old days, on OSI and by chance running by a house... oh wait there is no house!   :o

Is some one having a lawn sale... ;D

Enough said in the above post. Though I think the shameful part of it all is that Zarolin had to pen it down in the first place. EVO shard is about community. So, please learn this fast... or move on. All for one and one more for EVO! {or maybe just Dante and Kane}  8)

P.S.  no I didn't forget you Expo, Zoe or even Joker  ::)

P.S.S   *sighs*  no one ever forgets you Domino...  :P

Whilst I did not find much other than a pile of chairs, it was a good time. I had a good chat with a couple of bridge trolls.

There will always be grumblers; have we got a rock jail for such?  :)

I have to disagree with Zar's post!!!

I for one feel that I am entitled to other people's stuff for free! I feel that the loot from the dropped houses should have been distributed evenly amongst the players online at the time preferably by Dante himself (because what else is he doing anyway!) Of course the majority of the loot would have gone to me due to my aforementioned entitlement. Furthermore, any future IDOCS be done on a monthly basis and based on houses in which I decide. *cough* Stormchaser *cough*

Of course I'm kidding. Honestly I think the event was a fun, clever idea (especially the Black Friday craziness). I personally don't understand all the complaining for a staff created event where players have a chance at free loot. And to piggy back on what Zar was saying, if the IDOC event wasn't your thing then take the opportunity to do some other things while everyone was preoccupied... I'm 3/4 of the way to 2 cursed pirate shirts. :D
