i have a question concerning doom gauntlet.

I spent a good hour in there yesterday, and today killing "the father" boss around 5 times (and all smaller bosses ofc the same amount).
Yesterday i left with 11 doom scrolls, and today i left with 12 scrolls.

I hunt with 1163 luck (not much i know).
Is that the drop rate in doom gauntlet for scrolls? Doom warriors seem to drop scrolls more frequent, but they are quite boring to hunt for...
Even other mobs drop scrolls more frequent i find...

is this intended?

I will chime in here.  I have not seen the code for the drop chance but from a user perspective.  I had 945 luck plus what ever I got from the bushido perfection and I would see drops around 5% of the time.  I blew the last of my ED on luck deeds and got my base luck up to 1545 and did a couple rounds last night saw scrolls closer to the 10% of the time mark.


This is always subject to user bias and general psychology.  You will remember the 90% that did not drop scrolls instead of the 10% that do.  As for me if i did go from a 5% to a 10% drop chance I in effect doubled my drop chance.  Because I had an established pattern of drops (I farmed about 300 scrolls at 945 luck) it felt like scrolls were dropping readily last night.


The doom warriors seem to drop scrolls a lot more often because they die fast.  There are 6 you can recall to, kill, loot, and move on in 5 minutes.  When all of the warriors are down you recall out to do other things.  Due to this the psychology of the event tells you less time was spent because it was less time per trip and less scrolls per interval but the interval was very short.


I hope this explains my thinking on doom scroll drops without confusing everyone.

i did notice something aside from the doom scrolls drop rate.

When dark father gets killed, system message says you have around 50-ish % for an arty drop. The mini bosses have around 10-ish %. I have yet to see an item drop in my pack from them. How does that work exactly? I now fight with pets and 2263 luck. I don't hit the mob tho...

no worries, i trust it's working as intended.

Just that yesterday i killed the dark fathers atleast 20 times, and the system message says around 50% chance of an artifact (that drops in my pack then as i understand it).

Killing him 20 times i had not one artifact drop in my pack. I'm sure i can have bad streak, but if the percentage works like flipping a coin, i should get 1 in 2 i think...

I did get two artifacts drop in my pack from the mini bosses - which are around 10ish percent chance.

Not nagging about it Kyn, just saying

The 50% chance displayed chance i think is for the custom artifact system which I do not think the doom gauntlet mobs are part of (even tho it displays the message).  The doom gauntlet artifacts that drop to your pack are working the way they did on the production server it appears and there is not a displayed percent chance for those.


This is purely from my own observations.

hopefully chest of fortune drops anytime soon.. that chest is so rare these days
