Champ boss question?

random question.
knocked out the rikktor spawn last night at Humility. unfortunately i had to log immediately after the boss spawned and did not kill him. does that totally screw up the champ spawn timer? in hindsight i should have threw out a public chat about it but just curious how this would affect the timer.
and just on a side note i always try to bail on trammel spawns at the last red skull but was not paying enough attention on this one
