hello.
I have just used 200 platinum runic charges with valorite and platinum ingots to create a Radiant Scimitar. Around 85% of the weapons i made, bare the Radiant Scimitar title, and the other 15% are called Platinum Radiant Scimitar.

Shouldn't ALL weapons i craft be called Platinum Radiant Scimitars?

thx

The ones named Platinum Radiant Scimitar were made with Platinum ingots.  If you make a weapon with blaze it will be called Blaze Radiant Scimitar.

The hammer you use just determines how many modifiers it can have and what their max intensities are going to be.

well keldon that was what i thought aswell should happen, but it isn't.
I made ONLY scimitars with valorite and plat ingots, all with plat runic hammer, and like i said clost to 90% of the weapons is just named radiant scimitar. The modifiers on them are not at all great (despite my skill levels), and furthermore - when i use them in a salvage bag, i get my ingots (plat, val) returned.

So the naming is off, and it feels like the modifiers aren't what they should be either...

If a gm wants to tap in, i have like 50 or so in my house stored.

I cannot replicate what you are describing.

Kyn,
could you elaborate pls?

Each radiant scimitar you make with a runic plat hammer and platinum ingots ALWAYS has the name platinum radiant scimitar?

If i am not mistaken any time you use colored ingots (plat or otherwise) the weapon will say "(colored ingot you used) (weapon you made)" regardless if you use a runic or not.

It appears as if the server crashed or I would go make a few weapons using a normal hammer.

I just made a few axes and scimitars using a normal hammer and different ingot types.  The ones made with plat ingots are called plat radiant scimitar, ones made with valorite are called valorite radiant scimitar, and the one made with iron is just called radiant scimitar.

i can make a few weapons with a plat runic but the naming should be the same based on ingot type.

When I create a weapon with a runic tool using platinum ingots, I got a platinum <insert weapon name here> when I craft a weapon using blaze ingots I get a  blaze <insert weapon name here>

I am doing my best to understand what exactly the problem is, but as of this moment I'm not seeing an issue.

sometimes the first time you put your mouse on a crafted weapon some things are not right , I have made 100% exceptional chance weapon , it said exceptional but had no level info on the bottom , I moved mouse away and placed it back still nothing , when I moved the weapon (picked it up and dropped it back)it was their.

This how ever was a few months ago and I have not noticed it since , but When making I look at the abilities not the bottom part :p

Kyn, the issue is that when i create a weapon with valorite, or platinum - the name is not correct. Neither is the hue. It should have a blue or white hue according to the ore used.
I find the stats below par aswell tbh, granted it's luck - but making 200 weapons should yield a decent weapon i think.

i make exceptional radiant scimitars, but they look like plain (none colored ingot) ones. I ABSOLUTELY am sure i'm using valorite and platinum ingots, because when i smelt the weapons in a salvage bag, i get valorite and/or platinum returned respectively.

atm i have a bag in my backpack with 34 weapons that i made, and as you can see most of them are called radiant scimitar. Take one, smelt it in a salvage back and watch what you get back. If there's no issue, then a "Radiant Scimitar" should return iron ingots, but the ones i created return plat and valorite because that's what they're crafted with.

i'm out for the afternoon, but i left my game running so you can have a look at it when you have time.
thanx.

I had this happen recently when Tailoring.  Was using a Ethy kit, and Daemonic and above leather,  Each and every piece crafted came back colored as normal leather, and came back with the bonuses not there.  Burned through about 30 or so hits on my kit before I just gave up.  A few days later went back to crafting and everything worked just as it should have.  Not sure what the cause of this is, but I can back up that it has happened to a few of us before.

My suggestion is craft slowly if you see this happening stop crafting until a later date.

This happens with Fletching also from time to time. Logging out and waiting a few minutes sometime resolves it.

I've heard this "bug" before and have had it happen on a few occasions. What seems to work is as Bill stated, log out completely, wait a good 5mins then go back and see if you are in a crafting bug.
Another thing to just check, I'm sure you have. Is making sure that on the second gump screen of crafting, the one that has the ingot selection to make sure "use crafting color/do not color" is checked off. If you have "do not color" then no matter what ingot or runic you use, they will all turn out normal iron colored and will not have a "plat" "blaze" etc tag.

By what blight said i dbl checked it. It was set to use material color. I however changed it to do not color, and then back again - and now the scimitars i make are named correctly and hue'ed correctly.

i guess before starting to craft with a hammer, one has to manual flip settings a few times before they are effectively 'set'.

Thx for following up guys, appreciate it.

i'd like to add a little just for the sake of clarity.

i now have a bunch of Blacksmithing clothing, and i make 100% radiant scimitars exceptional.
My current bs skill = 184

When i click the "use material color" a few times around, then i 99% of the time make a correctly colored weapon with the correct name.

Every 10 to 15 weapons i make however, there is still the odd weapon that doesn't have the right hue and naming. It does have modifiers on it, and it's exceptional. I have no clue what's causing it, and it's totaly no biggy, just for sake of completeness that i'm adding this info.

If you get the chance to show me the swords in game I can tell you exactly what causes the odd coloring. :)
