Hi everyone. Question.

What does everyone do with their useless augments (i have probably 50 +10 hit fire area) and useless artifacts (im on my 3rd container holding these)?

They dont sell and are pretty easy to obtain. Considering they are a prize (bonus reward), Id rather not just trash. We have a power scroll exchange area which is awesome ! Dont know if this is possible for these as well. Artifacts I get is a difficult sell, but maybe for every 100 - single socket augments, you can get a random 3 socket one.

Thought id ask, and bring up topic. Staffs hands are full, and you all do one hell of a job here. This is just something that i think of often.

thanks !

I know that this has been brought up and discussed (along with artifact turn ins for credits or exchanges). The main problem with a system like this is the obvious impact on the player economy. You could argue that the powerscroll turn in for credits is similar but of course that requires 1000 credits to get a single 120. So I think you might be onto something but I'd assume it'd have to be a much higher number than just 3 single socket augments. Perhaps a number like 10 single socket augs to exchange for 1 two socket aug or 30 singles for 1 three socket aug. Increasing the numbers might lessen the impact on the economy as a whole. In the meantime we might have to invest in socket keys so we don't run out of room in our house storage. :)

I felt the same way when it dawned on me that 98% of arti drops are worthless. Depression -> Maybe there's a trade in? -> glimmer of hope -> :=(  I don't know that we need an extra way to be rewarded - there are a lot of ways out there to make gold and tokens - but it would be nice. Probably cut down on items-on-server a little bit too since people still vendor and save them. Along the same lines, I also think it would be nice if there were a small token bonus to cleaning up corpses, even if the corpse had nothing that you wanted to [grab off it. Maybe I'm weird (ok, most likely :P ) but it bothers me when I run around and see dead creatures EVERYWHERE. I know that incentivizing cleaning up corpses would be the only way to get a lot of people to do it.

I say this without knowing what Kane has in mind to fix/add to the in game item dimension.

 Having said that:

What if all items could be deconstructed, as a secondary feature of the not in use Imbuing skill, to grant a player a random type of material. (Materia anyone?  --- think final fantasy 7)

These materials could be used to construct weapons, armor, new/old augmentations, and just about anything else staff decides to let us make with them.

At the moment I am hashing out a more thorough idea for a separate post on this kind of topic... so I am leaving things vague to see what kind of response this kind of thinking receives.
