Anyone want me to bring back the raffle stones?


We originally put the stones out for a gold sink and to distribute some of the rare new items.  It seemed very popular in the beginning and many players were buying tickets.  As the novelty wore off we were offering great items but only 1-5 tickets were being purchased


I would like to bring this back, but i would need community participation...what do you think?

you could bring them back but don't put a draw date on it, make the drawing happen when X amount of tickets have been purchased... this would eliminate the great items going to only a 5 ticket draw...

perhaps you could make the voting stones raffle stones.   When players vote they would be entered into the drawing.  The prizes could be modest. 

Most of us vote already but maybe Thunders idea may give others the insensitive to vote daily or as I like to call it..."get to the bank and vote quick so I can get to poking something again". lol

     I like all these ideas. I never felt like the token bonus was worth my time on the voting stones. The reward isn't even needed to get me to vote. I usually vote whenever Dante is asking for votes prior to a champ event, just to be friendly. I would like to see the voting stones do something akin to the museum collections. The more votes that are in, the more items that could be on display. That way voting would be a community effort that has a visual association.

     I know on the raffle stones I had dumped 10+ million on some items that I wanted. Looking back on it I wish I hadn't done so, but it proves that the draw was there. I just didn't care for the ED raffle stone as it had too low of a payout to draw my interest. Some of the items were 200-300 ED items, I would just start the ED raffle stone with a base of 100 and then go up from there. I'd be much more inclined to dump some gold onto that.

     I'd also like to see a visual representation of how many raffle tickets I have purchased. It really did feel like I was donating into nothing as I never saw who won the items nor had any clue as to how many tickets I had purchased vs ticket circulation. If I could find out how many tickets exists, I could better decide on whether to buy one ticket or 50.

I wasn't ever really sure what would happen if I won. 

But I do LOVE the idea of it showing how many tickets you've purchased versus total tickets. 

Other than that... I liked it.

Thunder's Idea was brought up before, and I really like and support the idea!  Sure, the random chance at Eds is nice, but with tokens being nearly obsolete, the voting raffle sounds like a GREAT incentive.  Many times, I go inactive, but stay logged in game (to both support the shard with online players, AND soak up the Coins) an incentive like that would encourage more players to vote for sure!

  I liked the idea of the raffle stones. The ED's stone was boring because, if you truly wanted to get ed's you could buy them for 1per 100k.

  So buying a raffle ticket and loosing was a set back... of course if you won, you made a profit of say 4-10 eds {400-1mil gold}. But a sure thing will always win out, 9 out of 10 times.
