Hey all,

Enjoying the shard.  Re-learning everything!  If i have say 100 taming and put on a +5 taming bracelet, do I now have 105 skill showing, or do I need the eat a 105 PS first?

Does taming/lore read shown skill or actual skill for high end tames?

Anyone know a good +skill vendor?

Thanks.

Pete, This is a no skill cap server, You can put on as much gear as you wish for +skill.  Regardless of your scroll cap.  All skills use actual skill (calculated with gear) for their calculations.  There are a lot of +skill items around including special artifacts, Magical Cloth, Jewelry, and of course sockets/augments.

Take a look at vendors around, but be aware high +skill items are going o be somewhat expensive due to the fact that there are no skill caps.

OK great, so I only need a PS to work my real skill above 100.  If i have +gear, I don't need to eat a scroll to have say 105 taming.

You are correct in you statement Pete.   :)

Most new tamers buy taming jewels (rings and bracelets) to help them raise their taming up to 100, than use the jewels to tame pets they can train, usually out of thier newbie status league. But Pet training doesn't require much skill... Just alot of cut meat, or the animals preferred food source

Also, with so many, old and new, custom tamable creatures wondering around; the need for more than 140+ taming skill is rather high... Besides, nothing as fancy as "Custom Made" should ever be easy to come by.  8)

Don't forget that the higher your Animal Lore skill is the less often you have to feed the pet.

Also with recent changes by Kane, the higher you Animal Lore/Taming/Vetinary skills are the more points your pet receives each level.  Also if the pet dies while leveling up there is a chance for decreased skill points gained for that level.
